Teacher of the Year Finalist, 2005, 2008, and 2009

During my tenure as a teacher, I have received many professional accolades, but a few have stood out above all others.  In 2005, five colleagues stood up and nominated me for the Teacher of the Year at Lafayette High School, our top honor.  While I didn't win, I was truly touched by the work they put into that endeavor.

In 2008, Emily VonGruben, a beloved student, nominated me for the coveted Teacher of the Year (TOY) award.  I've attached her video so you can hear what she had to say.

Teacher of the Year Finalist 2009

I was honored once more during the 2008-2009 school year to be nominated by two of Lafayette's finest seniors, Ashley Zerr and Keely McCaskie.  While I didn't win and Mrs. Ann Gilman was selected to represent LHS, I was proud to have these fine students nominate me. I thank Ashley for her lovely speech to the staff and Keely for working with her to accomplish the task.  Thanks, girls!
